Our history
Founded in 1986, Liberty Spring has earned itself an enviable position in the automobile and recreational vehicle sectors. It also occupies a prime position in other types of products that use springs within their applications.
Its products excellent reputation and its willingness to provide its customers with the best service possible have allowed Liberty Spring to experience progressive growth over the years.
In 2006, Liberty Spring created a partnership with one of its main customers and established a small plant in Suzhou, China.
In 2009, Liberty Spring acquires Springco, a Toronto-based company that specializes in the production of small diameter springs.
In 2012, Liberty Spring launches the SRL, its own production and management system. This system allows to standardize the best business and production practices in all of our plants.
In 2014, in order to provide local supply to our current customers and to develop new customers, a brand new production plant is set up in Querétaro, Mexico. That same year, with the objective of mitigating the lack of production capacity caused by the growing market demands, additional production lines are installed in our Toronto plant.
In 2016, a representative office is opened in Lapeer, in the Detroit area. This new entity will allow us to be closer to major automobile manufacturers.
In 2021, in order to provide springs to our existing European customers and to develop new ones, a brand new production plant is set up in Giarmata, Romania. The same year, a representative office is opened in Berlin, Germany. This new entity will allow us to be closer to major automobile manufacturers.
In July 2021, we acquired Elka Suspension, a manufacturer specializing in the design of suspension systems for powersports vehicles and light sport trucks.
We may not know what the future holds, however, we believe that it will be full of challenges and great opportunities for our company.
